Nutrigenomics

The studies and branch of genetic research of how foods affect our genes and how is known as nutrigenomics. It includes studies about the effects of food components on gene expression for the advances' investigation on the discovery and understanding the molecular level relationship between nutrients, and another dietary bioactive within the genome. The research of how different foods may interact with specific genes to increase the risk of common chronic diseases such as obesity, heart disease, stroke, and certain cancers.
